Privacy Policy
Famenda helps families organize the information around raising kids. This page explains, in plain language, what information Famenda holds, why, and what control you have over it.

Who Famenda is for
Famenda is designed for parents, guardians and other authorized adults who manage family logistics. Each family uses one Famenda login and one family workspace; caregivers, teachers and other people can receive limited access through secure share links when needed.
Famenda is not marketed as a service for children to independently create and operate their own accounts.
Information you provide
You choose what information to send to Famenda. Nothing arrives automatically from your other apps or accounts.
- Account information such as your email address and authentication details
- Family information such as your family workspace, its members and your Family Contacts
- Children records you create: name, birth year, grade, colour and similar profile details
- Schedule items: events, tasks, payment tracking and reminders, and things to bring
- Reminder settings and the recipients you choose for each reminder
- Content you explicitly capture: screenshots, images, PDFs, pasted text, typed text and supported shared text or files
- Secure-sharing settings such as which child schedule a link exposes and for how long
What Famenda does not do
Famenda does not connect to or scan your WhatsApp account, your Gmail inbox or any other messaging or mail account. Information reaches Famenda only when you send it — by capturing, pasting, uploading, sharing to the app or typing it yourself.
Child-related information
Famenda stores information about children only as part of a family-management workflow controlled by authenticated adults. The service is designed around data minimization: it holds what is needed to organize day-to-day logistics, and nothing is collected for profiling.
- Profile information a parent enters, such as name, birth year and grade
- Schedule information: school, kindergarten and activity logistics
- Appointments, tasks and things to bring
- Reminder-related information such as timing and chosen recipients
AI processing
AI assistance in Famenda is always started by you. You select a source, and only then is its content processed to suggest structured schedule items.
Selected content may be processed by service providers used to operate Famenda, including AI infrastructure providers. Famenda sends only the context needed for extraction within your current family scope, such as your family language, timezone and the names of active children.
AI suggestions are drafts. They are shown to you for review, and nothing is added to your family schedule until you approve it. The model is instructed to extract information that already exists in the source rather than to invent facts, and Famenda does not autonomously insert AI guesses into your schedule.
Source files and provenance
The original source you captured can be kept privately in your family workspace and remains linked to the schedule items created from it, so you can always answer the question "where did this come from?".
Sources are private to your family. They are never exposed through a public child-share view. Deleting a source removes the source and its provenance links according to current product behaviour, while schedule items you already approved remain in your schedule unless you delete them separately.
Reminders and notifications
You can attach reminders to an event, task or payment and choose who receives them. Recipients may include the family account and Family Contacts you have added.
Famenda currently delivers reminders in the product itself. External email delivery may be introduced in the future. Famenda does not send SMS or WhatsApp messages and does not use mobile push notifications.
Secure sharing
You can create a limited, revocable link that shows a specific child's upcoming schedule to someone who does not need a Famenda account — a grandparent, a babysitter, a teacher or another caregiver.
You control the scope of the link. Private sources, AI drafts, family member details and everything outside the shared child scope are not exposed through it, and shared pages are excluded from search engines. A link can be revoked or replaced at any time from within the product.
Analytics and audit
Famenda uses first-party, privacy-minimized product analytics. There are no third-party advertising or behavioural trackers: no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no session-recording tools.
Analytics and the security audit log are designed to record what happened, not what it said. They store operational metadata such as event types, counts, durations and size buckets, and are built to avoid storing raw child names, source text, email addresses, IP addresses or other private content.
Cookies and technical storage
The public Famenda website and the product use only essential technical storage: what is needed to keep you signed in, to remember your language preference and to keep the service secure. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.
Data security
Famenda is built around family-level isolation: authenticated access controls keep each family's data separated at the database level, source files are held in private storage, and secure sharing is purpose-limited and revocable.
No online service can promise that it can never be breached. What we can describe is the design: least-privilege access, server-side validation of every sensitive action, and no anonymous access to internal data.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service or until it is deleted through available product controls or an applicable support process.
You can delete children, schedule items and sources from within the product; deleting a child removes the records attached to that child. Revoking a share link immediately stops access through it.
Delete Account deletes the whole Famenda family account and normal family/app data, including children, calendar items, tasks, contacts, reminders, sources, uploads, notifications, invitations and share-link access where the deletion process supports them. Limited financial, payment and audit information may be retained where required or reasonably necessary for accounting, payment integrity, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, security, or legal obligations.
Service providers
Famenda relies on infrastructure and service providers required to operate the product: hosting, database and file storage, authentication, AI processing, and — once configured — transactional email delivery. Providers receive only what is needed to perform their function.
